(February 19, 2008) MUNICH, Germany electronica 2008, November 1114, 2008, in Munich, will present a range of electronics from semiconductors and nanotechnology to automotive safety and EMS, following the motto, "Get the whole picture." The show includes four special focus areas and 15 specific sectors.
The 15 sectors include semiconductors, embedded systems, displays, micro-/nano-systems, sensors, test-and-measurement, electronic design and EDA, passives, electromechanics and peripherals, power supplies, PCBs and other circuits, EMS, assemblies and subsystems, automotive, wireless, and information gathering and services.
electronica 2008 will feature automotive, wireless, embedded systems, and micro/nano as special areas. Automotive electronics, for safety and consumer applications, are predicted to experience high growth, and are of particular interest to U.S.-, Italy-, and France-based manufacturers. The electronica automotive conference will continue in 2008, hosting auto manufacturers, suppliers, and system suppliers along with various related industry authorities. The event, November 10 and 11, is expected to draw the most international attendees, and will be presented in English.
The Wireless Congress: Systems & Applications, November 12 and 13, will gather about 50 presentations on current applications, security, certification and approval challenges, measurement technology, standards, and market opportunities. This congress targets developers, system designers, and managers. It will be held in English as well.
electronica 2008 also will put on two executive roundtable discussions, focused on the role of semiconductors in climate protection and display technology and economics, respectively. The entire tradeshow is expected to draw 3,000 exhibitors and about 78,000 attendees.
