Mouser Distributes Teridian ICs

(June 9, 2008) MANSFIELD, Texas — Mouser Electronics Inc. signed a global distribution agreement to carry Teridian Semiconductor, a supplier of mixed-signal integrated circuits used in energy, automation, networking, and secure access systems.

Teridian's semiconductor solutions provide engineering customers the ability to design innovative systems in rapidly growing end applications like video over Ethernet, electronic identity, and power metering," according to Mouser representatives. Mouser will stock a variety of Teridian products including power meter, Ethernet, modems, and smartcard reader ICs.

Teridian power meter system-on-chip (SoC) devices offer integration and flexibility and are ideal for developing smart meters for residential and industrial utility customers, the company noted. Teridian's networking devices for Ethernet, modem, and wide area networking provide compact and low bill of materials (BOM) cost for consumer, industrial, and telecom applications which demand reliable connectivity. Teridian delivers turnkey smart card reader solutions for serial or USB applications, complete with pre-certified firmware for Windows and Linux operating systems, and offers a broad selection of smartcard reader electrical interfaces.
