Manncorp Updates Benchtop Stencil Printer

(June 17, 2008) SAN DIEGO, Calif. and WILLOW GROVE, Pa. — Manncorp debuted an improved version of its Model 5500 benchtop stencil printer, which includes true vertical separation of the stencil from the PCB prior to the lifting of the stencil frame. This movement of the stencil from the PCB was designed for ultra-fine-pitch solder paste printing.

For added versatility, the 5500 printer includes tooling for double-sided boards and dual squeegees mounted to high-precision, linear-slide bearings for repeatable side-to-side squeegee motion controlled by the operator. Consistent board-to-board print quality is aided by squeegees with stainless steel blades (rubber blades also included) that maintain specified height and pressure. Self-locking dial adjustments enable X, Y, Z, and R axis settings. Raising and lowering of the stencil frame is pneumatically controlled for operator ease.

The maximum print area of the 5500 is 500 × 550 mm (20 × 22") and maximum frame size is 600 × 600 mm (24 × 24").
