Sono-Tek Ends Q'01 Up 31%

(July 15, 2008) MILTON, N.Y. — Sono-Tek Corporation announced sales for the three months ending May 31, 2008, increased 31%. Sales increased versus last year in spite of softness in some markets.

Christopher L. Coccio, Ph.D., Sono-Tek's chairman and CEO, said, "Sales increased versus last year in spite of softness in some of our markets, particularly the North American electronics segment. The increase is attributable to the business development program that the Company has been pursuing over the last several quarters that include the introduction of several new products in the advanced energy field for fuel cells and solar cells, a new line of reciprocating ultrasonic spray fluxers and new products in the glass and medical coating area. Sono-Tek plans to continue directing a significant portion of our income to this growth strategy over the next year or two with the intent of expanding the use of our core ultrasonic technology."
